Personally I always go for bulk and then just add some crystal-light or something for taste.

If going branded then Scivation are good, as are Dymatize and Reflex. CL Purple Wrath if wanting to use during heavy training

Depends really on the reason for using them.

On a cut, before/during/after cardio can be useful, and certainly during weights.

Can also be used in place of a protein shake post-workout with carbs before a proper meal. Generally though I find them useful during a session mixed in with water/flavour

I normally just supplement with straight L-leucine rather than the more costly BCAA's. 5g in my post workout shake is what I do, but pre/during/post is what's normally recommended.

No point before meals imo. Pre/during/post workout, first thing upon waking and maybe at night if wake up. Anything else is overkill

I've used BCAA's quite a lot in the past. Found they helped when dieting and for recomping. Pre/post training help with recovery and during training i feel they do help with additional strength/energy/recovery between sets. Used up to 40g during workouts and 20g pre/post. Bascially keep you anabolic/anti-catabolic during/around workouts.

Also used them before meals (from 5g up to 20g), theory is they help stimualte protein synthesis amplying the anabolic effects of the food consumed. Used this method when recomping and do beleive they helped, altho a bit of a hassle so not bothering currently purely for this reason.
