alright folks...

added some little bits to this months supp order as i seem to have a never ending bucket of whey at the moment so had some spare cash..

I've ordered some CLA to see if it would help at all with shifting some BF and just wondered if anyone has ever tried it and what their experiences were?

cheers

Andy

Asked about it before and was told it was a waste of time, try it anyway if you've already bought it, synergy is the way to go.

whilst dieting i never got anything from it, even in pretty high doses. i think it had a minor effect on preventing fat gain when i was bulking though.

Make sure you get the CLA with the right isomers though.

The problem with CLA is to get noticeable results you need to run a minimum of 15g+ a day which makes it very expensive. I ran what was called The Anarchy Stack a while back which was CLA, RLA and ALCAR and to be honest I thought it was a very good stack. However, it was very expensive and compared to stuff that's around now no where near as good.

15g a day? jeeeeeez!! well i wont be doing that thats for sure.. lol

what interested me really was its supposed effects on insulin sensitivity which im pretty sure is an issue for me.

well Im almost a month in with this stuff so i thought id stick an update in for this..

Does it help with overall fat loss? - a resounding NO would be the answer there lol... although I have noticed a change in the way BF is dropping, historically, my love handles and moobs are the last to show even the slightest sign of change but that most definitely isnt the case this time!

that said, this is also the first time ive stuck to a decent diet fairly strictly... or tried carb cycling so either of those things could be the main contributary factor.

definitely inconclusive but ive ordered another months worth anyway - i darent not now! lol

Thanks for the update Andy. That's one of the problems with supplements I find and that's you're never actually sure it's working or not, especially with the more passive supplements like CLA. Also when people stump up the cash for supplements they tend to sort their diet out and be more dedicated to their training.

I used it once, for about 4 months IIRC. It so hard to gauge it's effectiveness when you've altered other things such as diet/training. I'd say it had a minimal effect tbh. I did use it in conjunction with Nalpalm(topical fatloss gel) which I thought was pretty decent at the time.
