Protein Brownies

400g fat free cream cheese (you can use 4% or 5% if you cant get this)
4 whole eggs
75g cocoa powder
100g plain whey
1/2tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
60 sweeteners dissolved in a egg cup with boiling water (i use splenda tabs)

1147 cals
42g fat
33g carbs
157g pro
9g fibre

Method

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a electric beater on a low setting until thoroughly mixed

Line a 12 inch springform pan with baking paper so the bottom doesn't stick and grease the outside of the springform pan. Pour in the batter and put into a preheated oven at 150C and bake on the top shelf for around 35-40 mins or until the top looks slightly crackled

Take it out of the oven and run a plastic spatula around the sides of the springform pan incase its managed to get stuck, then pop open the springform pan and allow the brownie to cool on a wire rack (remove the baking paper from the bottom otherwise it will sweat and not be very nice!)

Cut into 4-8 sections when cooled thoroughly

Edit to make this into a cake version simply add in a heaped tsp of bicarbonate of soda to the mix and bake as per normal, it will have risen to twice the size and have a cake like texture vs being brownie like

N.B. Adding 12-13g of orange extract makes these into chocolate orange protein bars!

Marble Cakes!

To Make the marble cakes make up the mix above without the cocoa powder. Pour in 85% of it into your pan and then add 1tbsp of cocoa powder and stir it in. Then place the chocolate batter on top and distribute it as widely as you can across the top. Then take a butterknife and swirl the two together so you get the effect seen above. Dont overswirl it though!

No problem with asking mate

What youre referring to is Nitro Glycerine which is whats used in Dynamite

Vegetable Glycerine is a ingredient you would usually use in things like marzipan or icing to soften it up as it adds moisture to things and stops them drying out, its also used in protien bars if you have alook in most of the ingredients

Its kindve like a sugar alcohol in that is doesnt raise blood sugar that much

They do it in all supermarkets ive been to its called SuperCook Glycerine, its in the same place where youll find the vanilla extract and food colourings

Here's what it looks like

could be fine as a MRP mate, if it fits in with your macros then go for it

They keep fine in a fridge wrapped in clingfilm

Hi Si

Best bet is to get the gum from eBay mate or MyProtein as most supermarkets wont carry it as its a specialist item.

If you mean the ones you get in packets sold by certain supplement companies, then better i think. the normal protein brownies are just a bog standard brownie recipe with some whey and soya flour thrown in, it doesnt really change much to it.
