Hello all, im just fine tuning my first cycle, I will be doing 12 weeks of test sust then 3 weeks pct.
My question is is there any point using products such as finasterid while on cycle, it
apparently stops the DHT conversion on the hair folicles!! Anyone experimented with such a product! I know all about baldness in the family but to be honest I cant remember if there was any!!!

Yes they do work but you need to prevent or catch it in time. Once the old wig goes, it goes.
Dutasteride is more effective than finasteride.

Finasteride and minox are both year round meds.

Not much point running either just when on cycle as at the end of the day if you are pre detemrmined to mpb you will lose hair regardless of been on cycle or not albeit at a faster rate.

If your not prone to mpb then the majority of hair lost should be regained after cycle cesstation.

I use a combination of minox, finasteride, nizoral and alpecin c1 shampoo.

I have been using finasteride for a good few years and not only has it stopped my hairloss i have definitely noticed regrowth.

I started using minox a few months ago but already i can see new fine hairs appearing.

Not sure on Nizoral tbh but use it every other day alongside alpecin c1 which i think is a great shampoo which makes my hair look and feel thicker.

I have had such good results people don't believe i was ever loosing my hair however finasteride can have some pretty horrendous side effects which can cause problems for your long term health so just make sure you understand the risks before using.

This is very good advice, a combination of Nizoral, Minoxidil & Fincar is the most effective meds for hair loss.

I'm using Nizoral & Minox at the moment but I'm not keen on the Fincar, used it before & felt crap on it plus I dont want to permanently run an oral for health reasons.

Do you think blocking/reducing DHT can effect muscle & strength gains?

What kind of harsh side do you get from Finasteride?

I also use a combination of minox, finasteride, nizoral and caffiene based shampoo you can get

they work well together, re finsteride am curious what people mean by long term sides.

I researched the product and bar shrinking of the prostate gland when ran at high doses long term there was nothing i could see. I run 1mg per day finster, but have heard people running 5mg per day.

i`ve spoke with Drab about this before mate and apparently it does, I suppose it makes sense/is logical that it does really.

Just out of interest, I`ve noticed a few people talking of not wanting to take Finasteride on a long term basis for health reasons, I`ve probably done it for nigh on 8 years and not noticed any problems ( had about 3 full mot`s at the docs and had no reported problems) so what would be interested to hear your thoughts on it,
Cheers.

Yes mate, apparently its not helpfull on a cycle as it reduces the amount of free test you have floating about, obviously not to the point where your cycle will not work!!

I dont know of any real health problems associated with Finasteride, just the though of blocking DHT in the body for a long peroid puts me off, I've not done enough research on DHT but I would imagine it serves some purpose in the body but as I say I've not done a great deal of reading on DHT's function.

The fact that it can reduce strength & muscle gains also puts me off Finasteride, I may just use it on cycle where DHT levels will be higher though I dont go over 300mg with test, I think the fina should be stopped during PCT & just after PCT as test levels will be low so DHT should be low too. I wouldnt like to use fina off cycle because of the strength & muscle loss it could cause though it may not effect some people badly in that way.

I'm defo going to look into using Fina though, I've only been using the minox for a couple of months.

Cheers Barry, the only things I could personally say from my own experience since I started Fina is that I find it harder to lose fat ( I think DHT plays a big part in that too iirc) but, I`ve recently read some documentation that does say long term use can be a problem with some so I would say your thoughts deffo have some grounds, I`ll try and dig it out later as I`m off to the Docs now.

H.

Regarding long term health implications of finasteride use, what they discovered recently was that whilst it *greatly* reduces the risk of prostrate tumours, if you're unlucky enough to still get a tumour despite using finasteride (the odds are very small), then the chances are you're basically fucked, as tumours amongst finasteride users tend to be a lot more aggressive than usual.

I personally dont suffer any side effect from fnasterdie however i have read reports of depression, loss of libido, low ejaculate volume, penis shrinkage, brain fogs, loss of memory, feelings of emotional detachment.

Some users are still suffering years after ceasing use of finasteride.

I haven't noticed any loss in strength or growth from finasteride use (apart from my hair obviously)

Just to add as this is important

If you happen to use finasteride use protection when you have sex as there have been reports of birth abnormalities in male fetuses.

I have also read reports to the contrary but is it really worth the risk?
