Not sure if you've seen this site before Erek: http://www.fitday.co...Date=1221177600

We should all pitch in and try to make something along these lines, geared toward bodybuilders.
Would be the ultimate.

i used to use fitday alot, i eat the same foods most of the time nowadays so just use an excel spreadsheet and have all the foods listed on one page - i can easily add foods & keep a track of calories etc - when my diet needs to change (weight loss/weight gain) i just add a new tab with the diet plan on it.

yes im sad lol.

It's an interesting idea, but a pretty huge project to do - it'd probably have to be entirely self-coded, so I'm not sure I'd be able to do it time-wise without help.

I think it'd be incredibly popular though and a huge draw for the board.

Me too to be honest, most things i eat are the same each day, dont really care for variety, etc... it seems to work for me and i know what i am consuming in terms of calories, protein, carbs and fats.

I guess this is a good point, there is not much variety in most bbers diets. But does that render it pointless or simply easier? i.e. small database (no need for a massive database like Fitday)

Training journals are good, but usually I find them lacking.
I think with a little thought, they could be a lot better.
I'm not sure if most people could be bothered to really use a system like Fitday everyday - I know I can't - its way too quirky.

There is also the legal aspect

I be needin to be thinkin about this some more.

I take your point about precision, but I assume you still estimate tho mate, don't you?

Nope!

Its part of my rehab, i must not under any circumstances count numbers in food.

I have a understanding of whats high protein etc, but i just eat now and i feel better for it.

Interesting, How do prepare your food etc mate?

Do you have someone measure for you?
Do you eat until you are full and stop?

My mother works in the diet field (non-bb related) so I think I've been counting since as far as I can remember, my sister has a (diagnosed) eating disorder and her doctor/specialist said she wasn't surprised to hear of my mother's occupation, apparently its quite common.
