A little update on Sofia

Hey guys, just a little one here.

You'll remember from my last thread about Sofia that Teresa was given 14 days to provide her schedule of findings along with proof which should've been the 18th August, I would then have 14 days to respond and then had to go for a Trimega hair strand test. By the 26th August (the date on my latest solicitors letter) she hadn't provided this schedule so I believe has broken the law? It was a court order that she do this and has failed to do. My next court date is the 15th September, drugs test by the 8th September, and it doesn't look like I'll need to reply to her schedule as she hasn't provided it.

So not only did she turn up to court with a pathetic list of accusations she's not even bothered to officially provide them. Maybe because the judge said even if she could have proven them it wasn't enough to stop access anyway. So her behavior is simply proving that she is a liar after all. I've done everything by the book and shes done nothing but lie, make things as difficult as possible for me (and Sofia) and has been as uncooperative as possible. I'm really hoping that on the 15th September the judge will just stop this charade and give me access there and then.

Oh on this court order it also says that the safeguarding checks show no current concerns, so I'm assuming this basically means that social services have no problems with me seeing my daughter.

I have a feeling she won't turn up to the next court hearing.

Do women like muscle?

What's your experience here? Any of the ladies chime in?

Statistically speaking, when I'm out (shopping etc) I often get teenagers knocking their mates and pointing at me, blokes looking me up and down but that's more often than women admiring. I once heard to women say to her friend whilst shopping (in River Island with my missus): "look at him... Oo no that's too much for me" lol.

Nights out people are more obvious because people are pissed and don't have the ability to hide it so well lol. Middle aged women are a little more forward than women my age range.

Not that I'm interested for me personally, I have a mortage and a baby with my missus, but just after a general opinion - is muscle still good or is the reputation of us being "meat head steroid junkies" too much of a turn off?

Are the pretty boy, metrosexual, scarf wearers still a popular choice over "manly men"?

Was of to gym and pulled out some tracksuit bottoms and found a DNP tablet in the pocket - emptied it and carried on to the gym and thought nothing more of it.

Got changed in a slight trance (was thinking about something), did the workout and came back in to get changed once more in a now very busy changing room. Took off the bottoms and noticed to my horror that the DNP had dyed the inner lining a colour resembling a very very nasty attack of diarrhoea. It's safe to say that extreme embarrassment was high up on the list of things occurring at that moment.

Obscure question of the day - toilet flush replacement

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how difficult (or otherwise) it is to replace a toilet flush - the one in my en-suite is buggered which means, old man that I am, when I have to get up numerous times during the night I have to go to the bathroom instead.

The place is actually rented and I could get the landlady to pay for a plumber, but I'll never get around to arranging it, whereas if I order the parts then I probably would do it fairly quickly.

An example of collective stupidity

So today I took Jake to the Trafford Centre (saw the last airbender, awesome film) and for dinner I took him to McDonalds there. The "express lane" queue was pretty big, well over 10 sets of customers in it. I was like bugger, gonna be a nightmare queuing up for his happy meal. But when I got there all of the tills, easily 8-10, were empty with bored looking staff manning them. Went straight up to a girl and within a minute I was walking away with the happy meal and the idiots in this queue were just staring at me with what looked like rage.

Why do people do that? Just see a queue and ignore all logic and reason and just blindly go and stand in it. Each one of those customers could've been served without queuing in less than a minute but they just stood there like mindless sheep.

I love the quote 'a person is intelligent but people are stupid' (possibly paraphrased there).

Anyone else have any stories of stupidity on a grand scale?

Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Right,

I watched this the other night with the missus. This is the sort of film I watch with her for bonus points. I must admit I wanted on some level to see it because I'd been forced to watch the two previous abortive attempts so figured I might as well see where it goes.

Now in this one the action scenes were pretty good to be honest and the overall story, minus the love shit, is ok. It's hardly a vampire classic like Near Dark, Lost Boys, or the like, but it's worth a watch and not a far cry from the underworld series simply a different group is targeted. I won't give any spoilers but the action is ok and Dakota Fannings character as far as these things go is pretty scary. She'd certainly kick Dracula's arse that's for sure.

So what's the problem? The main problem is the female protagonist, I don't even know her name. She (as in her character) has to be the most annoying irritating whining bitch ever. When it comes to protagonists she is certainly one of the worst ever created. She is the exact opposite of what women have fought for; women have fought to be represented in films, especially gothic films, as not just the helpless damsel in distress but as an equal to the male. Take Alien/Aliens/Alien3 for example; Ripley in this is not only the male equal but in most accounts she is far more capable than the men in the film. Twilight though and this stupid bitch is only a short step up from being completely mentally retarded. She is your typical emo-type child thinking the whole world hates her etc etc etc blah blah blah, only in this she's eighteen and really needs to fucking grow up. We had her incessant whining in the first one with her pining after that supposedly good looking 'hunk' Edward. In the second one they've broken up and we have to put up with her love sick whining for most of the film. In the third one they're actually together and, you guessed it, she's STILL fucking whining. They are... TOGETHER... she has what she WANTED yet still finds shit to whine about. There's a group on facebook, '10 reasons that make it ok to punch a woman in the face', she fulfills all 10 reasons. There are these scenes which probably only last 10 minutes but because of their banality they feel like they last forever, and these scenes permeate the entire film. Every time there is a little bit of action it is preceded and followed by one of these stupid whining love scenes.

If the intended audience, that being 13-15 year old girls, watched these films ONLY then it wouldn't be such a big deal. The problem comes with supposedly 'grown up' women (and some men) who go mental for what is essentially a child's movie (by an adults standard). That means partners invariably have to watch them. It would be akin to me going absolutely fucking nuts over power-rangers and then forcing my partner to go see the movie at the cinema with me.

The real shame is that Stephanie Meyer, renowned apparently in academic circles for actually being quite a shit author, has completely lost an entire people; men. This is aimed purely at women and it completely alienates men. With a little balancing, by reducing the amount of shitty love scenes and manning up the protagonist on it, she could have appeared to men a hell of a lot more and increased her sales. The actual story itself isn't too bad, but like Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde the abysmal way of telling this story completely ruins it. These movies, as they stand, are unlikely to last the test of time. Lost boys they are not. I can see them in the future being remade, and possibly remade again.

No offense to anyone on the forum who may actually like these films lol

A tray of 30eggs from Asda is £3 for 30 so rounding things off 6 trays would cost £18

A few people have mentioned here and on other boards about getting blood work done in needle exchanges.

Can anyone tell me what exactly they test for. Im particularly concerned about liver function testing.

My acne is slowly creeping back. Been clear for 2 and a half years after a heavy roaccutance cycle. I was thinking about running 20mg a day for a while to prevent any further breakout and hopefully close the glands a bit. Ive been drinking shit loads lately so would like to have the liver checked as a precaution before going too crazy.

Luckily I am blessed with quite a hardened liver! A year of 100mg/day of roac and heavy drinking only raised my LFT profile to the high end of normal!

Also, can you just collect the bloods from the chemist then or do you have to go back to your GP?

Also, I will neg anyone who tells me to cut back on my drinking!

Just been in and 24 cans of Carling are a tenner. Not a massive fan of the stuff but pretty good value at that price.

Im fairly sure it will be the same in all the stores but can't guarantee.

They tend to sell quick though

microsoft word 2007

For some strange reason when I open a new document in word 2007 there is this silly symbol that comes up where the cursor is and I can't seem to remove it. Also when I have finished typing a sentence and then press the enter key to move a row down the page the silly symbol comes up again. I can't seem to copy and paste it on here as they symbol doesn't appear on this forum.

Symbol is like a>>>>>> pl but the p is the other way round. Anyone know what is going on here?

Even when I save a document from my memory stick (the document is perfectly fine with no symbol) and transfer it to my pc the document is saved with the stupid symbol and the layout has changed.

Is it just bad manners?

I've just been through my PMs on another forum and it's literally 8 times this year that I've had mails asking for something, where I've replied and then they just fcuk off with no thanks or anything

Now, I'm not clued up about much useful stuff but I know a bit about different things.. Also, sometimes, the written word isn't very clear...depending on who's writing it but we all miss interpret things we read, I'm sure.

Is it plain fcuking rude just to ask something, get a reply then just fcuk off again without saying anything?....I think so!....even if the reply they got wasn't what they wanted or even expected, a simple 'thanks for your time pal' reply , doesn't take long!

I could be looking at speciality sites rather than replying to PMs FFS but I do always reply which takes some of my time!

Would you walk up to someone in the street and ask for directions, then once given, just turn around and walk away without saying anything? no, it'd be fcuking rude LOL

Discuss.

If you want to....
